FARMINGTON, N.M., Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Mesa Air Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: MESA) reported that its load factor for September 1996 increased by 2.1 percentage points to 54.3% compared with September, 1995. Total available seat miles decreased by 7.9% due to a temporary shortage of aircraft caused by the return of six deHavilland Dash 8-300 aircraft to the manufacturer and the subsequent failure of the manufacturer to deliver new replacement and growth aircraft to Mesa as scheduled.
The shortage of aircraft will be significantly improved before the upcoming ski season and fully resolved before the summer of 1997. Improvement will result from the delivery to Mesa ...
