Attorney general joins city in legal action
BURBANK - California Attorney General Dan Lungren has joined Burbank in the city's ongoing fight against expansion of the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport.
Meanwhile, pro-expansion airport officials last week continued environmental studies of the land targeted for a new $250 million passenger terminal and prepared for a hearing next week by the Burbank City Council on the proposed project.
The anti-expansion city council, for the first time, has scheduled a formal hearing on the controversial proposed project. The public meeting is scheduled to be held at Burbank City Hall at 7 p.m. on Sept. 17.
