LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 1, 1996--The Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners, fulfilling a long standing pledge to return a popular local public golf course to a complete 18 holes, agreed to provide the land to restore three fairways and enable the Westchester Golf Course to markedly upgrade its facilities.

During its regular meeting Oct. 1, the board voted that slightly more than 77 acres, including the land permitting the restoration of three holes lost to the construction of the Westchester Parkway, is not needed or necessary for aviation use.
