Virgin Media has launched its first mobile broadband offerings, adding to its current fiber-optic broadband. The mobile broadband service is accessible through a USB modem plugged into a laptop, with connection available through the mobile phone network.
The service will come with an 18-month contract, a free USB modem and a 3GB data cap. That's about "2,000 emails, 100 hours of web surfing, 200 music tracks and 100 two-minute videos," the company said.
Virgin Media has made an online usage calculator available at its site to help customers figure out how much data they need.
