GARRY HOUSTON picked up his biggest cheque of the season when he finished in a share of 21st place in the Portugal Masters at the weekend.
But it may be too late to save him from a trip to the end-of-season tour school.
With just one event left, the Castello Masters in Spain, starting on Thursday, Houston lies 120th in the European Tour Order of Merit, with the top 115 automatically keeping their cards.
His earnings of 34,350 euros in Portugal took his season's total to 212,647 from 12 starts.
However, he is still 19,000 euros behind the man currently in 115th place.
