MIDDLEBORO, Mass., Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Mayflower Cooperative Bank (Nasdaq: MFLR), Middleboro, Massachusetts, announced that its annual stockholders meeting was concluded today. At the meeting, Paul R. Callan, Richard B. Wilmot and Lorenzo Wood, Jr., were elected as directors of the Bank and the stockholders elected Edward M. Pratt as Clerk of the Bank for the 1997 fiscal year.
The Bank's holding company reorganization proposal did not obtain the necessary favorable vote of two thirds of all shares eligible to vote as required under Massachusetts law. President Edward M. Pratt commented that "although 80% of the votes cast at the meeting were voted in ...
