NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--October 10, 1996--Chase Manhattan Bank's Global Power & Environmental Group today announced that it has completed financing for Termovalle, a 199 megawatt (MW) combined-cycle gas-fired electric power plant in Cali, Colombia.

Chase has been advisor to KMR Power Corp., on this project since 1994. KMR was awarded the US$150 million Termovalle project in 1995 by Empresa de Energia del Pacifico S.A.E.S.P. (EPSA), a Colombian utility formerly part of Corporacion Autonoma Regional del Cauca (CVC).
