MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 9, 1996--Quebecor (ME, TSE:IQI.) (NYSE:PRW.) Quebecor Printing Inc. announced today that it has reached an agreement in principle to acquire 100 percent of the shares of AmerSig Graphics, Inc. for a sum of US $55 million plus assumption of debt.
The transaction is subject to a satisfactory completion of due diligence reviews, approval by the respective boards of directors of the purchaser and the sellers, the execution of a definitive agreement and compliance with all regulatory requirements (including the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976).
