Alcan is proud to contribute to the 46th Canadian Chemical Engineering Conference. This article provides a brief history of the Alcan Group with an emphasis on our Canadian operations and reviews some of our Kingston activities as they relate to Alcan's global presence.
For nearly a century, Alcan's progress has been closely linked with the evolution of the world's most versatile metal. It was the great potential of the flowing rivers of Quebec to produce electricity at an economical cost which led the aluminum industry to Canada.
