New boutiques
This month saw the opening of two locally owned boutiques: Pursecution in Uptown and OPM in St. Louis Park. Pursecution sells unique handmade leather purses and accessories by local artisans, including owner Jackee Sandelands-Strom. (713 W. Franklin Av., Mpls. 612-871-2195.) Conversely, OPM sells high-end international lines that are hard to find in the Twin Cities, such as Yves Saint Laurent, Mulberry, Catherine Malandrino, Valentino and more. It's the kind of coveted merchandise that Minneapolis' high-end specialty stores have been sorely lacking. (3700 Grand Way, St. Louis Park. 952-567-7399.)
