ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- Retailers across the country face a serious threat from organized crime, a Walgreen Co. investigator told members of Congress last month.
"Organized retail crime is an extremely sophisticated and coordinated crime," Walgreens organized retail crime field investigator Frank Muscato said in a hearing before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security to consider three bills to combat retail theft.
