Oct 23, 2008 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Suntory is believed to have offered Groupe Danone $A1.2 billion for its Frucor Beverages division in October 2008. The private company is also expected to bid for Cadbury Schweppes Australia's $A800 million soft drink business when it is offered for sale in 2009, in a move analysts said could threaten Coca-Cola Amatil's dominant market position.
