BOSTON, Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Cabot Corporation (NYSE: CBT) has formed a new business division, Ink Jet Colorants, to develop and market pigment-based colorants to the global ink jet printing market. Cabot has been actively involved in this market and with these products for the past three years.

The ink jet printing ink market, which includes desktop printers, fax machines, wide format graphics, and bar and product coding, has been dominated by dye-based colorants. Using its core technological competency in surface chemistry, Cabot has developed and customer-tested several carbon black-based products that provide enhanced features, including superior ...
