"How cool is that," said Grammy-nominated jazz/pop singer Jane Monheit about performing the first concert at the new Cultural Center at Eagle Hill in Hardwick on Nov. 1.
Monheit's 8 p.m. performance will be part of a "gala celebration" that starts with a reception at 7.
It's appropriate that this will be a happy occasion because the New York-based Monheit, who will be two days away from her 31st birthday Nov. 1, finds herself at the happiest point of her life. Motherhood has a lot to do with it. Her first child is 5 months old and he's already into music.
