Alcon Laboratories introduces Patanase (olopatadine hydrochloride) Nasal Spray, indicated for the relief of symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis in patients 12 years of age and older. The nasal spray solution is supplied with a metered-dose manual spray pump and a nasal applicator. The recommended dosage is 2 sprays per nostril twice daily.
The efficacy and safety of this product were evaluated in three randomized, double-blind, parallel-group, multicenter, placebo (vehicle nasal spray)-controlled clinical trials of 2 weeks' duration.
