City isn't giving up fight for new arena

INGLEWOOD - It's not quite David vs. Goliath, but the competition for a new L.A. area sports arena does pit a big guy (population 3.5 million) against a little guy (population 116,000).

And the little guy - Inglewood - is fighting mad.

"This whole process has been very frustrating. If you believe everything you read in the newspapers, we're hardly in this. lt's already decided. It's going to be built in downtown Los Angeles, and that's it," said Inglewood Assistant City Manager Norm Cravens. "If you look at what we've done, we're way ahead of Los Angeles in getting this built."
