Netherlands Development Finance Company (FMO) has closed five deals worth a total of US$72mn with banks in Central America, the Hague-based institution said in a press release.
FMO issued a 10-year subordinated loan worth US$10mn to Costa Rica's Banco Improsa, FMO communications officer Nicoline van Slingelandt-Asselbergs told BNamericas.
Also in Costa Rica, Banco Lafise received a total of US$15mn from FMO, the officer said. The facility consisted of a US$10mn senior loan and a US$5mn subordinated loan, both denominated in local currency.
