Oct. 19--Sierra National Bank is expanding both in Tehachapi where it has reached an agreement to buy a Wells Fargo Bank branch, and in Bakersfield where it has opened a new branch.
The purchase of the Wells Fargo branch in Tehachapi, which is expected to be completed early next year, will result in deposit accounts being transferred to Sierra National Bank's head office at 224 W. F St., and end the presence of Wells Fargo in Tehachapi.
Meanwhile, in Bakersfield, Sierra National Bank recently opened a new 4,000-square-foot branch at 1621 Mill Rock Way on the corner of Ming Avenue near the Marketplace shopping center.
