TAMPA, Fla., Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Shells Seafood Restaurants, Inc. (Nasdaq: SHLL SHLLW) today announced that an agreement was signed on Friday October 18, 1996 with Islands Florida LP to purchase six Florida restaurant locations. The six restaurants are located in Coral Springs, Davie, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami-Mall of the Americas, Pembroke Pines and West Palm Beach. The purchase transaction is expected to be completed by fiscal 1996 year end, subject to satisfactory completion by Shells of its due diligence process and requisite landlord consents and governmental licenses and permits being obtained.
