HOW TO LINE THE CAKE PAN

STEP 1 Cut a strip of double-thickness greaseproof or baking paper about 6cm deeper than your cake pan, and long enough to wrap around the inside with a slight overlap.

Lay the paper down flat and fold a 3cm crease along the cut edge. Snip up to the fold at regular intervals. The snipped edge fits on to the base.

STEP 2 Put the base of the pan on a double thickness of greaseproof or baking paper. Draw around the base and cut out the rounds.
