NEW YORK -- Halston is joining the growing list of apparel names entering the home furnishings market.

WestPoint Stevens has signed a deal to market a line of bed and bath products under the name of the late men's and women's apparel designer, known for simple, clean styling.

West Point , one of the three largest domestics mills with annual sales of $1.7 billion, will produce and sell Halston's Life American Style, a mid-priced department store line. The line is set to debut at the October 1997 Home Textiles Market.
