NEW YORK -- It seems that any combination of fabrics that can be sewn together is making it into the decorative pillow industry these days. Velvets, jacquards, animal-skin looks, novelty tapestries, to name just a few, and embellishments like pom-poms, braids, rickrack and the like, were only a small sampling of what was at hand in showrooms during the market in New York.

Retailers, it seems, were out for a variety of looks.
