The voter rolls in Oswego County got a boost this year, thanks to the presidential election.
In the last seven months, the number of active registered voters in the county grew 3.6 percent, according to numbers provided by the county and state boards of elections.
In March, the county had 71,762 people on its active voter list. It now has 74,329. That's 78 percent of all county residents who are old enough to vote.
"Every presidential year, we get a lot of people registering to vote," said Donald Wart, one of the county's two election commissioners.
