NEW YORK, Oct. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Virginia Public School Authority's $132,640,000 school financing bonds (1991 Resolution), series 1996B, are rated 'AA' by Fitch Investors Service. To be offered for bids Oct. 30, the bonds will be due Aug. 1, 1997-2017 and optionally callable beginning Aug. 1, 2006 at 102%. Bidders may designate term bonds with mandatory sinking fund redemption and the authority may alter each maturity by $350,000 ($750,000 for 2017 maturity), up to a total of $2,500,000.

The bonds are the ninth issue under the separately secured 1991 Resolution and are on parity with $514.4 million outstanding bonds. They are payable from pledged funds, ...
