Precise images and high prices are the hallmarks of top-notch 21-inch monitors. However, CTX International's $2,025-list CTX PR900 allows for some compromise, making it a good choice for less demanding users.
The PR900 uses a Mitsubishi DiamondTron aperture-grille tube, which provides a bright image and vivid colors. However, the PR900's brightness isn't consistent across the screen; the lower right and left corners were visibly darker than the rest of the image. Similarly, while its colors were rich and attractive for the most part, they weren't consistently so.
