DALLAS and MEXICO CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 25, 1996--Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst Incorporated, of Dallas, a leading U.S.-based private investment firm, announced today that it has acquired a controlling interest in Vidrio Formas S.A. de C.V., of Mexico City, a supplier of proprietary glass containers to the Mexican tequila industry, as well as to the Mexican food and pharmaceutical industries. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Both Hicks Muse and Vidrio Formas are privately held.
