KANSAS CITY, Mo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 24, 1996--Twentieth Century Mutual Funds and The Benham Group, a $53 billion fund family formed last year by merger, today announced a realignment of its more than 60 funds.

The move is designed to simplify the decision-making process for mutual fund investors.

In addition, the company said it would mark the final stage of its merger by changing the name of the combined complex to "American Century(SM) Investments." Both the realignment and name change will be effective Jan. 1, 1997.
