BRISBANE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 28, 1996--Hitachi America, Ltd. today announced a new addition to its portfolio of high-performance, slimline disk drives for the mobile computing market. At 2.16 Gigabyte (GB), the highest capacity available in a 12.7 mm height, the new drive provides notebook OEMs and integrators with desktop computer storage performance in a lightweight, 2.5-in. hard disk drive.
