WE HAD intended to go to Bradford, to a curry establishment that came highly recommended by friends of the Man-in-Charge.
The Boy was keen because he has wholeheartedly embraced the notion that curries, particularly those brimming with chillies, are manly.
And, as it was to be a family farewell dinner marking his departure to university, we wanted somewhere that he approved of.
