Norwegian aquaculture company SalMar ASA (OSE: SALM) issued its third quarter report on Friday (31 October), posting an operating profit (EBIT before biomass adjustment) of NOK74.0m, as compared to NOK107.0m in the third quarter of 2007.

Revenues amounted to NOK394.6m, down from NOK462.1m in the third quarter last year.

The decline in revenues was due to lower harvest volumes.
