One of the least publicized stories of Christian unity and mission celebrates its 150th anniversary this year. The Evangelical Alliance (EA), which began in 1846, today embraces some 150 million Christians globally through its outgrowth in the World Evangelical Fellowship (WEF). As John Stott has stated, "The story of the World Evangelical Fellowship, with its roots in the Evangelical Alliance (which is more than one hundred years older than the World Council of Churches), deserves to be better known."
