Following its recent acquisition of Scot Trout and Salmon, leading trout supplier Dawnfresh Seafoods is in the process of integrating its new businesses. The business is a fully integrated process from farming through to processing and will deliver benefits to the total trout category within all trade sectors.
The acquisition of Scot Trout & Salmon (and its earlier purchase of Silver Trout) means the Dawnfresh group now controls 85% of the trout business. In addition to Scot Trout, Dawnfresh also acquired Scot Trout Farming (with 25 trout farms), plus the hot and cold smoking business of R&R Spink & Daniel's Sweet Herring.
