Norwegian dairy group TINE BA said on Tuesday (4 November) that its wholly-owned UK subsidiary Norseland Ltd has agreed to acquire Ilchester Cheese Company Ltd from Inflexion Private Equity Partners LLP and the company's management.

Ilchester Cheese Company is the leading producer of blended cheese in the UK market and also exports cheese to 25 countries. The company reported a turnover of GBP25m in 2007.
