MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 6, 1996--CONSOLTEX (TSE,ME:CTX) CONSOLTEX GROUP INC. announces its results for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 1996.
Sales for the quarter totalled $125.9 million compared to $105.6 million reported during the same period in 1995, while earnings in the September 1996 quarter were $0.3 million, or $0.02 per share, versus a loss of $1.5 million, or $0.11 per share, in the September 1995 quarter. The stronger sales and earnings are attributed to the stronger operating performances by The Balson Hercules Group Ltd. ("Balson Hercules") and Rafytek S.A. de C.V. ("Rafytek"), and a recovery in export sales from Canada to the United States. ...
