A DEFENCE minister has had to apologise for blaming soldiers' deaths on Army commanders giving them the wrong equipment.

Quentin Davies said he 'deeply regretted' his comments after he was condemned by bereaved relatives.

Mr Davies had dismissed the complaints of an SAS officer who raised concerns about the use of lightly-armed Snatch Land Rovers on the battlefield.
