In its short lifespan, the Web has seen many births, some deaths, and now a reincarnation. After shutting down in May because of lack of advertising revenue and a faded subscription effort, Web Review - the online-only magazine from Sebastopol, California-based Songline Studio - was revived by San Francisco-based Miller Freeman, Inc., in late September. Publishers are now asking whether the relaunched site has found a viable business model for online publishing - one that doesn't include subscription fees.
