Five States Come Together Promoting Regional Collaboration

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism (MIPT) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Region VI are assembling experts from across a five-state region to explore the critical issues regarding improvised explosive device (IED) prevention.

The two day workshop on November 6(th) and 7(th), 2008 at MIPT will identify and prioritize strategies and actions to improve the IED readiness of each state and the region to handle improvised explosive devices as well as vehicle born improvised explosive devices (VBIED).
