SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 11, 1996--Alps Electric (USA), Inc., a leading manufacturer of PC and Macintosh computer peripherals, today announced the availability of USB product samples for key OEM customers and technology partners.

The first product samples in the series of USB peripherals include the Alps Enhanced Windows(R) 95 Keyboard, and the Gamepad from Alps Interactive, a new product line of Alps Electric.

Alps is one of the first companies to demonstrate USB input devices. USB is the new high-speed serial port being promoted by Intel and Microsoft, and is being adopted by virtually all major OEMs.
