LONDON is everybody's favourite place at the moment. It is the hub of the fashion world, it has the trendiest bands, the hottest clubs and it is, according to the world's lifestyle pages, hip, cool and happening. Businessmen think so too. According to a survey of 500 companies published on November 4th by Healey & Baker, a property company, London is the best place to put a business today, with Paris, Frankfurt and Brussels some way behind. The respondents reckoned that it had the best access to markets, best availability of office space, best telecommunications, best transport links with other cities and was easiest to travel around.
