Nov. 6--Nearly three years ago to the date, USC Aiken traveled to Columbia for an exhibition basketball game with South Carolina. The Divsion II Pacers, which would end the season with a 6-22 record, were never really competitive against the Gamecocks, which would end the season with a victory over Michigan that clinched an National Invitation Tournament championship.
South Carolina used its size, depth and talent to run the Pacers out of the building with a 95-63 rout that saw almost every Gamecock get into the scorebook.
