While it is not unusual to see inflammatory letters in the Times Union, one would hope that the editorial staff would weed out the ignorant and misinformed ones. I refer to Jean Bardin's Oct. 27 letter, specifically when she questions the merits of consuming breast milk, saying "Who knows what diseases those women are carrying?"
I challenge her to think about why it is acceptable to consume the milk of another species but not our own?
Why does Ms. Bardin assume that the milk coming from grain-fed, factory-farm cows ...
