Police have appealed for information after a dog was abandoned in Dunbar.
The poor pooch was was found tied up at the old swings at Winterfield Park by a member of the public who was out walking his dog last Wednesday.
He heard the sound of a dog whimpering about 10.40pm and discovered the Alsatian-cross. Realising he had seen the dog in the same place earlier that day at 8am, he alerted the police.
A police spokesman said: "This dog was clearly in some distress but otherwise not injured. The officers that attended took the animal back to Dunbar Police Station where it was fed and watered and kept overnight until it could be collected by East ...
