THERE was a capacity attendance for the Annual Burns Dinner and Celebration held in the Monreith Arms Hotel, Port William.
Opening the proceedings Chairman Robin Kinnear remembered two stalwart members, Ian Wallace and John Lovatt, who had passed away during the year. A special welcome was given to those members who had travelled considerable distance to attend including one from New Zealand.
The club continued to support the study of Burns in the local primary schools with a donation of [pounds sterling]50 to each.
After the "Selkirk Grace" the Company enjoyed a fine meal during the course of which the Royal Scotch Haggis was borne in by ...
