POLICE have renewed their appeal for witnesses following a fatal crash in Pilling.
Hilda Birchall, 59, of Belle Vue Drive, Lancaster, became the ninth person to be killed on the A588 in six years when her motorbike collided with a car on Wednesday, March 25.
Along with her husband, Dr Jim Birchall, Mrs Birchall was a committed and experienced commuter biker and did not own a car.
The couple had been returning from a meeting of fellow bike enthusiasts in Knott End when the fatal accident occurred.
