The Marine Technology Societys Houston Section will conclude its 2008 program with a presentation by Buddy Lang on Chevrons Blind Faith Semi-Submersible.
Blind Faith is a semi-submersible facility located approximately 160 miles southeast of New Orleans, in Mississippi Canyon block 650. It is Chevrons deepest offshore production facility, located in 6,500 feet of water, with subsea wells located in 7,000 feet of water in Mississippi Canyon blocks 695 and 696.
The facility was originally sized for a daily production capacity of approximately 45,000 barrels of crude oil per day and 45 million cubic feet of natural gas, and was ...
