LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 18, 1996--Plasmon Data Inc. today announced the DW 260 which sets new levels of performance and price in the competitive magneto optical (MO) market.
The DW 260 half-height 5.25" drive benefits from Direct Overwrite technology, known as LIMDOW (Light Intensity Modulation Direct Overwrite). Conventional 5.25" MO drives require 2 passes of the optical disk to write data; the DW 260 only requires a single pass. These new drives are on display at COMDEX for the first time at the Plasmon booth, H617.
