MOTHERWELL Football Club face a court battle to recover [pounds sterling]100,000 they say is owed to them by former striker John Spencer.
The Fir Park club are suing the former Scotland star, claiming he has failed to pay back a loan given to him when he signed for Motherwell in 1999.
Spencer (36), now based in America, disputes the claim and a preliminary hearing is due at Hamilton Sheriff Court next month.
