BAY CITY, Mich., Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Consumers Power Company today announced a two-year experimental pilot program which will provide all of the utility's natural gas customers in Bay County an opportunity to choose their gas supplier. Details of the experimental program were filed November 18 with the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) and implementation is subject to Commission approval.
When the experimental program begins, expected for April 1997, Consumers Power will retain its role as the sole transporter and distributor of natural gas in Bay County.
