COMMUNITY leaders are opposing moves that could neglect County Durham.
Easington MP John Cummings, pictured, and bosses at the District of Easington council have united to protect east Durham from what they call the "serious and negative" impact of a long-term draft planning blueprint for the North-East.
County Durham MPs are leading an initiative, supported by all of the county's eight council leaders, to prevent changes being made to future development plans.
