A PORTADOWN man, whose experience of climbing is limited to the Mourne Mountains, is hoping to scale the highest peaks in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland this weekend.
And, assuming he manages to conquer Slieve Donard (2,786 feet), Snowdon (3,560 feet), Scafell Pike (3,210) and Ben Nevis (4,406 feet), Wesley Jameson's next goal will be Mont Blanc.
Standing 15,774 feet above sea level in The Alps and straddling the French-Italian border, La Dame Blanche (the White Lady) is Western Europe's highest peak.
